Gasser: Oregon’s Winningest Baseball Coach Instructs
WASHOUGAL — Local Little League coaches and players had the opportunity on Sunday to learn baseball techniques from coach and trainer, Dave Gasser. Members of Camas and East County Little Leagues spent threes hours learning about good base running, fielding, batting stances and more from Gasser, who is the All-time winningest coach in Oregon high school baseball history. He has won the most state championships, and was recently inducted into the Oregon Baseball Hall of Fame.
He went over coaching techniques designed to help the beginner, as well as the more advanced baseball players.
“There is a big difference between awareness and an instantaneous skillful reaction,” he said.
